The ocean team at Wilhelmsen Ships Service have recently fixed a pipe shipment from China to the UAE.
The seamless and LSAW pipes were shipped from Tianjin in China to Jebel Ali in the UAE, loaded onboard M/V Avra. Sanju Manayani at Wilhelmsen comments; "The challenge was to find a Chinese carrier for the cargo who would be reliable and at the same time give very competitive rates".
"Shipping small quantities of pipes can be quite tricky! You need declare tier limitations, bundling and packing information, whether nested or stand alone, bare or coated, letters of credit terms and conditions etc. Fortunately, Wilhelmsen Ships Service are able to help! Should you have any breakbulk, project cargo, heavy lift or RORO shipments then please do not hesitate to contact our team at oceandesk@wilhelmsen.com."
The operations ran smoothly and the pipes were safely discharged in the UAE.
