Rio Olympics have Ended but the Celebrations Continue as PCN Mark their 6th Anniversary

The exciting Rio Olympics have ended but the celebrations continue as PCN mark their 6th Anniversary!

PCN President / C.E.O., Rachel Humphrey: "The past 6 years have flown by, but we wanted to take a breath in the middle of all the current activity to tell our Members and colleagues how much we appreciate their support.

May I say that it is a pleasure working with a group that is so passionate about their industry and the specialist services that their companies provide. Our organisation has grown impressively in strength and reputation since we established in August 2010. We have achieved excellent internet presence - type 'project cargo' into any search engine and our network appears. Every issue of our Digital Newsletter is packed with your fantastic work – see our archive library.

Our website receives 1000s of visitors every month and this exposure, coupled with our presence at many leading industry exhibitions in the oil and gas, construction, power and energy sector and articles in the industry media are powerful tools for obtaining global knowledge of your company, as well as our network.

Today, our ISO 9001 and 14001 has an international presence that extends to 230+ Members in 100+ countries (see list). The benefit of belonging to PCN is that you are able to draw from a global network that have the expertise and resources to handle project cargo and heavy lift shipments, providing your customers with confidence and enabling you to win contracts.

As an article on page 54 in Issue 3 of Breakbulk Magazine 2016 (read here) stated:

"The entire heavy-lift, project freight, and breakbulk sector will undergo significant change both in terms of existing services as well as in the scope of new services over the next five years. Networking will become ever more essential during these challenging times. In a sector in which larger forwarders also cover project freight and logistics these networks have proved themselves essential to the survival of most of project forwarders."

Our goal is to increase inter-trade between Members by providing you with helpful online tools which maximise the benefits of the latest in online technology. This includes the new Skype chat icon we added to each profile page so you can start a conversation directly from our website with just one click.

In addition, our 6th Annual Summit which takes place from 20-22 November in Dubai will allow you to spend time with each other so that we all grow more confident and can increasingly move business to agents within the PCN family.

With so many large infrastructure projects, natural resources and a rising wave of foreign investment in many key markets, the future looks good for PCN and our Members."
