Over the summer, Al Nahrain have delivered OOG cargo for the State Company for Oil Project (SCOP) and the Ministry of Oil in Iraq.

The cargo was picked up at Umm Qasr Port and delivered to the SCOP location in Al-Latifiya, Baghdad. The shipment included a centrifugal pump, main pump, booster pump, pumping system and other accessories and equipment. The whole project was transported on 10 containers - 2 x 40'BX and 1 x 40'HC with the OOG pieces handled on 7 x 40'FR with measurements as follows:

  • 2 at 11.20 x 3.10 x 3.17m
  • 2 at 8.40 x 3.10 x 3.17m
  • 11.90 x 3.55 x 3.25m
  • 11.10 x 2.55 x 3.55m
  • 9.32 x 2.35 x 2.55m

The shipment arrived at the port in three lots to deliver to the plant for the same project. Al Nahrain's scope of work began at Umm Qasr Port and included the cargo handling, clearance, transportation for delivery and unloading at final destination. They also arranged an escort and constant updates for the transport from port to site and provided the required equipment, vehicles, cranes, forklifts, tools and labour for the operations.

Ragheb Banat (Deputy General Manager) concludes; "We were awarded this project as a sub-contractor by one of our important clients who obtained it directly from SCOP. Our team was on-hand at every stage of the operations to supervise loading at Umm Qasr Port, escorting the trucks from port to site, and during unloading at the final destination."
