Al Nahrain Report Reopening of Trebil Border Crossing Between Jordan & Iraq

Al Nahrain are well-experienced in reliably handling a range of freight forwarding services with expert capabilities. They are pleased to report the official reopening of the Trebil Border Crossing between Jordan and Iraq.

Director of Operations & Logistics Services at Al Nahrain, Ragheb S. Banat explains; "The only border crossing between the countries has been closed for 2 years and the revival of cross-border traffic could help bring normality back to Iraq's Anbar border province. It will also give a boost to Jordan's sluggish economy.

Iraq is a key market for Jordan, and exports have dropped by more than two thirds after the 2015 closure. Iraqi officials said that the highway linking the border with Baghdad is safe, with security provided by Iraqi troops since late last year."

"We are glad to announce this news to our Freightbook partners and express our delight as the re-opening will have an important impact on cargo freight transactions and international cargo traffic in all aspects (sea, land and air) from all over the world to Iraq via Aqaba Port in Jordan. We are sure that most freight forwarding companies, as well as supply chain firms, will be equally glad to hear this news."
