Abuse
Spam has become a daily irritation which can waste valuable time.
Registered Freightbook users who are seeking co-operation are able to access our ‘Search for Agents’ database. Users can then obtain contact details in order make direct contact with other registered companies.
We do not allow any abuse of our website. Therefore, if a registered Freightbook user is deemed to be sending inappropriate or unsolicited email, they will be immediately removed from our systems and website.
If you receive inappropriate or unsolicited email, please contact us immediately.
If you ever receive a virus message that has our Freightbook address as the sender, it is highly unlikely that the virus came from us. This is known as ‘email address spoofing’ and is very common.
The sender information shown in e-mails (the "From" field) can be spoofed easily. This technique is commonly used by Spammers to hide the origin of their e-mails and leads to problems such as misdirected bounces (i.e. e-mail spam backscatter).
The Freightbook email system uses the latest technologies to ensure email is checked for viruses before they are sent.
Visitors to our website can complete an online quotation form, which is then approved by Freightbook staff (to avoid spammers) before being forwarded to your office. This service is included in our low cost annual fee.
Freightbook take the issue of security and continued service very seriously. We use dedicated servers which are located in various secure data centres across the UK and Europe, and are regularly backed up, updated and maintained. We also use a data centre support team who work 24x7 to ensure that the machines are available and users have access to the Freightbook website.
